Abstract

Frequently, the occurrence of certain unfortunate events shows us that we are going through a serious crisis of traditional values. In general, it is observed that fundamental principles once considered universal in nature, have lost their validity as a value system, negatively affecting different social activities, where Journalism as such is not alien to the problem.

But before any reflection, It is necessary to clarify what is understood by value.

Various authors agree that value is always linked to a need; In other words, an object is attributed value because it has qualities that respond to certain needs. Consequently, “value does not exist in itself. It is the property that a thing or attitude acquires for someone because it responds to a need "
