Abstract

An institution specialized in social communication can be studied in many ways. The approach we seek assumes a critical perspective and considers the institution from the point of view of the relationship between a message and a receiving subject, that is, it is the relationship that links a set of broadcast programs with an audience, which the consumes as a spectator. But since this relationship does not materialize if it is not within a society, it is of interest to constantly place the institution within the human community of which it is a part and, more specifically, within the state and not within civil society.
