Policy on transparency in the financing of scientific articles

To ensure transparency in the dissemination of research results, Revista Latina de Comunicación Social requires that authors declare any source of funding received for the development of their work.

Requirements for Funding Declaration

Authors must include the following information in the Authors' Contributions, Funding, and Acknowledgments section of the manuscript, as presented in the article template:

  • Full name of the funding agency or entity
  • Reference code of the funded project (if applicable)
  • Start and end dates of the research
  • Explicit statement that the research has received financial support

Example of a Funding Declaration:

Funding: This work has been funded by [Name of the entity] under the project [Project name], reference [Project code], within the research period [mm/yyyy-mm/yyyy].

Registration in the Metadata of Revista Latina de Comunicación Social

In addition to being included in the corresponding section of the article template, this information will be recorded in the metadata of the article, ensuring its indexing in databases and its visibility in academic repositories.

This policy is mandatory and must be applied to all manuscripts submitted to the journal that result from a funded project.
