Abstract

The issue of leadership is one of the greatest interest for Venezuela, and we estimate that for the region and the entire world, at this time. The media in my country have "put the issue on the agenda", in accordance with the large number of articles and reports that have been published in recent years. Given the situation in the country, characterized by an already long crisis, the leadership factor appears critical when seeking explanations for our ills. This summary reviews a diagnosis on the subject, makes some considerations about the phenomenon of leadership, analyzes the results of an investigation on charismatic leadership in Venezuela and discusses leadership and public image, concluding in the analysis of the necessary leadership.
