From a communication point of view, the attack of March 11th meant the lose of credibility for most conventional media and the lack of strength of the information society. As an example, we can mention the wrong and not very clear information that many media published.
The electoral interest of a political party that knew that its victory was in danger, and the silence of the media, created an unbearable atmosphere. Many questions were waiting for an answer. The sensation was that information was getting hidden. During the following hours the main goal for any gossip group was to know who were the authors of the attack, as it was in every espontaneous demonstration and, also, when people went to vote.
In that context, in the afternoon of the March 13rd people discovered the power of calling to demonstrations through the Internet or through their cell phones. Thousands of persons used the new technologies and met in Génova street (where the Popular Party headquarters are) to ask PP for explanations about the crisis. All of it underlined the importance that this communication systems have in political events, since they were able to model a plural resistance
