Abstract

Almost 60 years have passed since the birth of television. However, television in El Salvador did not arrive until 1956 when YSBE-TV Canal 6 began its operations. Since its birth and subsequent development, followed by the appearance of two more television stations, Canal 8 and Canal 4, in 1958, Salvadoran television faced transmission problems for economic reasons, which forced these stations to be in the hands of various owners.
