Abstract

The Republic of Argentina is the Latin American country where the distribution of television signals through subscriber systems has developed the most. The magazine 'Visión', in its edition of the second half of August 1996, publishes an article entitled "Information Society", which reproduces data issued by the 1995 Telecommunications Development Report, I.T.U., on, among others, the insertion of cable in homes. The author analyses the situation.
