Abstract

The Sevillian newspaper 'El Liberal', founded by Miguel Moya in 1901, is one of the most obvious examples of the momentum that the phenomenon of new journalism gained in Spain in the first decades of this century. The result of a new way of understanding journalistic activity -more informative, clear and transparent and, above all, at the service of the reader-, the newspaper inaugurated a line of work in Seville whose success is largely due to its editor, José Laguillo Bonilla.
