Abstract

With the Internet, journalists have simultaneously become transmitters and receivers of the information that circulates on the Internet and, therefore, they need to know how to use the most common programs and applications that are used on websites and that serve both to access their content. as well as to produce other multimedia products (with text, audio and images). In creativity and training is the key to the success of the future journalist.

Author Biography

María Teresa Sandoval Martín, University of La Laguna, Tenerife

Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, Documentation and Information at UC3M. Her line of research focuses mainly on Digital Journalism and Documentary Film studies. She was awarded the "Sebastián de la Nuez" research prize in Tenerife, as well as the Extraordinary Prize for the PhD in Journalism at the University of La Laguna (2003). She has been a member of the Board of Directors, with the position of Treasurer, of the Spanish Society of Journalism (SEP) since 2010. Her publications include: Citizen journalism. Evolución positiva de la comunicación (2011), Historia de las Film Commissions y del movie tourism en las Islas Canarias (2011), Spanish Media Contents during Times of Crisis (2010), Hacia la consolidación del Periodismo Digital en los estudios de Periodismo: de asignatura optativa a su recomendación en el Libro Blanco (2006), El influjo de las nuevas tecnologías en la vida cotidiana (2002), Los centros de documentación cinematográfica en Alemania. A Labyrinth for the Researcher (2001). There is also a repertoire of scientific documentaries such as El sector audiovisual en Canarias (1998) and Investigación y Universidad (2003). He has carried out research stays at the University of Chicago and at the General Archive of the German Administration-Film Archive. He has also participated as a speaker at numerous conferences in different countries in Europe and America.
