Abstract

Public broadcasting has played an essential role in the development of current media systems, especially in Europe. However, the current media ecosystem relegates these public agents to the background, diluting their presence in a saturation of digital content. However, the presence of an independent, quality public audiovisual service at the service of citizens and democracy is today more important than ever to face social challenges such as misinformation and polarization.
