Publication Frequency
Since 2021, Revista Latina de Comunicación Social has adopted the continuous publication model, aligning itself with contemporary editorial trends that prioritize immediacy and accessibility of scientific knowledge. Under this scheme, articles are published individually as soon as they have successfully completed the entire editorial process (preliminary review, peer review, editorial and production stages), without the need to wait for the compilation of an issue or volume. This modality enables a more agile dissemination of research findings, benefiting both authors and readers, and ensuring greater visibility and impact of scientific content in a dynamic digital environment.
This type of periodicity involves a single annual issue, to which articles are progressively added as they successfully pass through each stage of the editorial process. Publication follows the order of submission and evaluation, up to the maximum number of articles established by the journal for that year, which is 40.
Once the annual quota has been reached, any remaining accepted and publication-ready articles will be made available in the “Ahead of print” section.
