Abstract

Specialized information portals on Internet is a common topic of debate, but the cybermedia that covers financial information on the Net is rarely discussed. The specificity of its contents and the public that is specifically focused to make these means differ significantly from other information portals specialized. In this paper, focused on reference sitios Intereconomía.com and Bloomberg.com, the method of comparative analysis has been a quantitative and qualitative twofold. It highlighted the fact that we present the results carried out by the research group "Cybermedia" of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. One of the main findings of the study is that, as it happens in other specialized media, these portals have a high degree of independence regarding its means of innovation. However, speaking in general terms, these two areas have more common than differentiating elements.

Luis Miguel Martínez Fernández, Complutense University of Madrid

Luis Miguel Martínez is a tenured professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid. Doctor in Journalism.

Audiovisual programming analyst. Researcher of the “Cybermedia” group, of the Complutense University of Madrid, with reference SEJ2007-67138 and financed within the national call for R + D + I, from which this article has come.

As a journalist he has developed his career in media such as Cadena Ser or Onda Madrid, where he was director of programs and broadcasts. The creator / founder of the Press-School Program of Spain, dependent on the Ministry of Education and Science.

In this field he has developed a wide task, as head of teacher training, lecturer and author of specialized publications. Co-author of the Framework Report on Educational Television in Spain. Author of numerous investigations both in the university and private sphere on audiovisual content.

Sergio Mena Muñoz, Complutense University of Madrid

Sergio Mena is an associate professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Nebrija University of Madrid and is a PhD candidate in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Degree in Journalism and Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Nebrija University of Madrid. He is a member of the research group "Cybermedia", of the Complutense University of Madrid, with reference SEJ2007-67138 and financed within the national call for R + D + I , where this article came from.

He is also a journalist for Grupo Intereconomía, where he currently works on its website.
