The "Information Age" - which, according to some, is already becoming the "Knowledge Age" - poses a new challenge for universities: rethinking their structure and study plans to get "in tune" with the increase in the speed of knowledge renewal that we can observe in almost all disciplines as a consequence of the massive use of the computer and communication between peers. If university authorities do not study this new context to take measures to project their institutions as means of permanent updating, they could soon find themselves directing obsolete institutions.
