Audiovisual dimension of language

Abstract

The different forms that language acquires when it becomes part of the new audiovisual scenario is the central core of this article. However, Professor Cebrián Herreros' vision is not developed from linguistic positions but from communicational ones. As the author points out, "it is a question of analysing the flexibility of language to adapt to the requirements imposed and at the same time the contribution it offers to highlight communicative processes".
