Abstract

The television industry is beginning to undergo a transformation caused by two factors: the explosion of the Internet and the digital revolution. The synergy produced by these events leads us towards a new life, an era of audiovisual conjunction between different sectors, television and PC, from which the viewer will benefit.

We are at the dawn of a new way of communicating, buying, playing, in a world where great technological advances will inevitably converge. We are facing a change in audiovisual culture. However, it is very difficult to predict the characteristics that the Television of the future will have, when it reaches its maturity, since we are in the middle of the creative process, there is still a long way to go and its final formation will be a planet yet to be discovered that right now we can only glimpse . Some experts call this post-television image revolution, others call it future.

We find ourselves with a new concept of industry capable of generating new content, in a massive way and making it reach users. According to the Italian writer and sociologist Eco "everything we knew about journalism or television is changing". Much more when Internet and Television merge and appear as a single offer to the user. The future of television is difficult to predict, it will not disappear but it will be presented as a new option, a new medium, that technology is changing. Access to the news and the different programs will be on demand online and television companies will have to position themselves if they want to stay.
