It is difficult to summarize in these pages twelve years of civil war. To narrate a war is to narrate death, destruction, loss of valuable human lives, of moral values, of the right to life.
However, this reality seems to be the daily bread in many nations, which like El Salvador, have gone through or are going through these sad moments in their history. The important thing, perhaps, is to reflect on those things that can serve to change society and make it a better place.
From this perspective, I will try to analyze in these lines the incidence that the Salvadoran internal conflict had on the development of the national press, which today experiences a wide plurality in terms of ideological thoughts represented in the media.
