Formatos narrativos para la prevención del embarazo. Efecto de la modalidad narrativa en las actitudes de prevención

Resumen

Se analiza el efecto en las actitudes, conocimientos, percepciones e intención de conducta de la persuasión narrativa y del nivel de alfabetización mediática en un video creado para prevenir el embarazo adolescente. Método: Las participantes del experimento (N = 220) cumplimentaron un cuestionario pre-test que medía la habilidad crítica para percibir el contenido sexualizado de los medios y las variables dependientes. Un mes después las adolescentes fueron distribuidas aleatoriamente a dos condiciones experimentales: la mitad vio un video narrativo en formato testimonial y la otra mitad un vídeo narrativo en formato dialógico. Luego rellenaron el cuestionario post-test. Resultados: Se observó́ que el nivel de alfabetización mediática moderaba los efectos indirectos del vídeo narrativo testimonial en la percepción de riesgo de vivir situaciones negativas en un embarazo adolescente. Conclusiones: Se discuten los resultados como un avance en el conocimiento de los procesos de la persuasión narrativa en salud.

Catalina González-Cabrera, Universidad del Azuay

Catalina González es Licenciada en Comunicación Social (Universidad del Azuay, 2000), máster en Periodismo Digital (Centro de Estudios Financieros de Madrid, 2003), máster en Comunicación y Marketing (Universidad del Azuay, 2012) y actualmente es doctoranda por la Universidad de Salamanca (Programa de Formación en la Sociedad del Conocimiento).

Labora en Ecuador como docente investigadora titular de la Universidad del Azuay, imparte clases en la escuela de Comunicación Social (Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación). Además, desde el año 2015, forma parte del Observatorio de los contenidos Audiovisuales (OCA), Grupo de Investigación Reconocido de la Universidad de Salamanca. 

Sus líneas de investigación son: persuasión narrativa, comunicación para la salud y alfabetización mediática.

Entre sus publicaciones se pueden encontrar cuatro artículos publicados en revistas científicas (Espacios, Chasqui, Ubiquitous Learning: An International Journal, Maskana). Además de dos capítulos de libro y un libro revisado por pares académicos. Índice H (GS): 2

Juan José Igartua Perosanz es doctor en Psicología Social (Universidad del País Vasco, 1996) y Catedrático de Universidad del área de Comunicación Audiovisual y Publicidad la Universidad de Salamanca (Dpto. de Sociología y Comunicación), donde imparte clases en el grado en Comunicación Audiovisual y dirige el Observatorio de los contenidos Audiovisuales (OCA), Grupo de Investigación de Reconocido de la Universidad de Salamanca.

Su campo de especialización es la Psicología de los Medios de Comunicación (Media Psychology) y los Métodos de investigación en Ciencias Sociales y en Medios de Comunicación. Sus trabajos de investigación se centran en los siguientes temas: procesos y efectos mediáticos, persuasión narrativa, encuadres noticiosos (framing), teoría del entretenimiento mediático, comunicación para la salud y medios de comunicación e inmigración.

Entre sus publicaciones se puede encontrar más de 80 artículos publicados en revistas científicas (por ejemplo, Journal of Communication, Journal of Health Communication, Journal of Media Psychology: Theories, Methods, and Applications, Communications.
